Babblebox operates inside Discord and depends on Discord permissions, message visibility, channels, DMs, and API behavior.
These Terms of Service govern use of the Babblebox website and the Babblebox Discord bot. Babblebox is built for Discord servers and combines party games, Daily Arcade, public-friendly identity surfaces, private-first utilities, and optional compact safety tools.
Last updated: March 26, 2026. By inviting, installing, accessing, or using Babblebox, you agree to these Terms. If you use Babblebox on behalf of a server, team, or community, you represent that you have authority to do so for that Discord environment.
Babblebox operates inside Discord and depends on Discord permissions, message visibility, channels, DMs, and API behavior.
Server owners and administrators decide whether to install Babblebox, what it can access, and how moderation or log features are configured.
Babblebox is designed to stay lightweight, bounded, and useful, not to act as a surveillance archive, enterprise workflow suite, or guaranteed always-on system.
By inviting Babblebox to a Discord server, using its commands or interfaces, or browsing the Babblebox website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website or the bot.
If you use Babblebox on behalf of a server, community, organization, or moderation team, you are responsible for ensuring that you are authorized to install and configure the bot in that context.
Babblebox is an open-source Discord bot designed around a small set of product lanes rather than an all-purpose platform. Depending on feature availability, permissions, and server configuration, Babblebox may provide party games, Daily Arcade challenges, Buddy and profile surfaces, private-first utilities, and optional admin-facing Shield or lifecycle helpers.
Babblebox may add, remove, limit, or adjust features at any time, especially where changes are needed for reliability, safety, abuse prevention, infrastructure constraints, or Discord platform changes.
You may use Babblebox only in compliance with applicable law, Discord's terms and policies, and these Terms. You may not use Babblebox where doing so would be unlawful or where you lack authority to use the relevant Discord account, guild, role, or channel.
Babblebox is not intended for emergency services, life-safety use, or any environment where interruption, delay, false positives, missed detections, or message-delivery failure could create high-risk consequences.
When using Babblebox, you are responsible for your own conduct, commands, submissions, and the Discord context in which you use the bot.
If you install or administer Babblebox in a server, you are responsible for how it is configured and where it is allowed to operate.
Babblebox may not be used for abusive, deceptive, or unlawful behavior. Prohibited misuse includes, without limitation:
Babblebox may limit, block, or terminate use connected to abusive or high-risk behavior, even if a specific misuse pattern is not listed above.
Some Babblebox features work with message links, attachment references, reminder text, AFK text, Watch keywords, Moment Card sources, or administrator-supplied templates and moderation settings. That does not make Babblebox a general media host, backup service, or permanent record system.
Babblebox is offered on a best-effort basis. Availability is not guaranteed, and features may be interrupted, degraded, delayed, or unavailable because of platform limits, infrastructure issues, message deletion, restart windows, permission changes, or third-party outages.
Babblebox's data handling practices are described in the Privacy Policy. That policy explains what the bot may access, what compact feature state it may store, and the limits designed to avoid turning Babblebox into a broad archive.
By using Babblebox, you acknowledge that the service necessarily interacts with Discord content, metadata, and permissions within the scopes where the bot is invited and allowed to operate.
The Babblebox codebase, website presentation, product name, logo, branding, and original bot materials remain the property of their respective owner or licensor, except where open-source license terms explicitly provide otherwise. These Terms do not transfer ownership of Babblebox or its branding to you.
Subject to these Terms, you may use Babblebox as intended inside Discord. You may not present yourself as the owner of Babblebox, misrepresent an official relationship, or use Babblebox branding in a misleading way.
Babblebox is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. No warranty is made that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, available at any particular time, or fit for any specific business, moderation, archival, or compliance purpose.
Babblebox does not warrant that all content will be detected, all reminders will be delivered, all moderation outcomes will be correct, or all outputs will remain available after deletions, platform changes, or outages.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Babblebox and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, server disruption, moderation disputes, or content loss arising out of or related to your use of the website or the bot.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability for claims arising out of Babblebox will not exceed the amounts you paid, if any, for the service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Babblebox may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the website, bot, or specific features if use appears abusive, unlawful, high-risk, incompatible with Discord platform rules, or harmful to the service or other users.
These Terms may be updated when Babblebox changes materially, when legal or platform requirements shift, or when the operating model needs to be clarified. When the Terms are updated, the date at the top of this page will be revised.
Continued use of Babblebox after an updated version is posted means you accept the revised Terms.
